Leaving Athens and driving the costal road we will pass by some of the most beautiful beaches of Athens Riviera, such as Voula, Glyfada and Vouliagmeni. Here in Vouliagmeni we will make a short stop to see the Lake of Vouliagmeni, a natural lake, that a lot of Athenians are coming even for winter swimming. Back to the car again to drive to Cape Sounio where the Temple of Poseidon is located. The temple of Poseidon was built in the 5th century BC and it was a very important site for the sailors, showing that they are reaching Athens. From this temple Aegeas one of the first Kings of Athens commits a suicide and from his name the Sea was named Aegean Sea. The tour is ideal for afternoon in order to see the beautiful sunset, as the sun is falling in the Aegean Sea in front of the Temple of Poseidon. You can have lunch or dinner in a beautiful taverna next to the sea, admiring the deep blue of the sea and the temple of Poseidon
